A lot of people have been noticing the lack of cars at most dealerships in New Hampshire. This could be due to chip shortages halting production lines and other supply chain issues or it could be indicative of an overall economic slowdown, even if none of the mainline media would like to admit it just yet.
Most dealer lots we checked have anywhere between 40% to 80% less inventory than people would normally see. Although dealers are trying to position cars to hide the empty spaces, for some dealers this is becoming harder and harder to do.
With everything going on in the world today, it’s hard to know exactly what factor is causing what percentage of inventory shortage but it’s certainly not looking like a great time for the industry. We reached out to a couple dealers for comment and will update this article with any responses we receive.
